I have an old Schwinn Fairlady Stingray that I would like to fix up. What's the best way to clean the crome and non-painted parts?
Also, any specific tools I might need to dis-assemble and re-assemble a bike would be helpful, also.
Thanks in advance!!What is the best way to remove tarnish, rust, and other blemishes from bicycle parts?
Most can be cleaned up with SOS pads or steel wool and oil. Rims, crank arms, handle bars are easy with SOS pads. Small parts can be harder to do. Of course, don't use on paint.

How do you get rid of painful Under the skin blemishes?
Hey, I was wondering how you get rid of really painful under the skin blemishes, and also what causes them? How do you get rid of painful Under the skin blemishes?
Please be more descriptive.
You could be talking about any of a number of things. Skin cancers are one.
eta: I have no under-the-skin blemishes, so I wouldn't think it was an everyday problem.

How do YOU keep your face clear of acne and blemishes?
Any tips or suggestions that i can try to treat/prevent breakouts?
(preferably home ';remedies'; or simple things i can to on a daily basis.)
Thanks! How do YOU keep your face clear of acne and blemishes?
Steam you face for 15 minutes at least twice a week and wash your face in the morning and at night using Celeteque facial wash with Vit C %26amp; E. Apply lemon directly on your face, avoid the eye area and wash with water after 30 minutes, not only it will brighten your complexion but this will surely remove the acne, avoid salty foods and sleep early, have plenty of rest. That鈥檚 all. I hope this will help. See result in a month and get back to me, : )How do YOU keep your face clear of acne and blemishes?
drinking lots of water, (it really does work) washing your face with a very natural product (i usually just use water), plus i use differin and it works very well. In my experience proactive did not work. Im also taking tetracycline. For simple stuff, my friends use tea-tree oil stuff and it works great for them.
honey works good for me; but test it on your jaw first to make sure you aren't allergic to it. moisten your face and rub honey on everywhere except eye area and let sit for 15 minutes and then rinse w/ warm water. sugar and lemon juice mixed together(not watery but not dry) works well also. lemon in a natural astringent, and honey is good for healing and softening. I hope i helped stay beautiful :)
Well, me personally...i don't touch my face...and even if i have to...i make sure i wash my hands before i do so....
Oh, and change the wash cloth that you use to wash your face every two weeks..that way you won't be washing your face with a dirty rag.....
and if the blemishes and acne still appear.... then you use proactive..
After washing your face, while skin is still damp, rub a small amount of honey on your face. Honey is a natural antibacterial and helps prevent irritation. PS you need to buy this book! It talks all about natural beauty.
A ten-year acne sufferer myself, I will show you how I cured my acne condition in 3 days the natural way, saved myself from further scarring, and stopped wasting my money on expensive medications and over-the-counter products!

What facial cleanser and moisturizer will keep my face shine-free the whole day and keep all blemishes away?
I have been using mary kay for the past few years, and it worked pretty good, except I got the odd blemish. For the past month and a bit I've been using clinique and it keeps all acne away but my face is shiny about an hour or so after I use it. What facial cleanser and moisturizer will keep my face shine-free the whole day, not dry out my skin and keep the blemishes away? What facial cleanser and moisturizer will keep my face shine-free the whole day and keep all blemishes away?
If you want to stick with Clinique, get their green toner. I think it's called clarifying lotion? It's a cloudy green. It contains 0.5% beta hydroxy acid (BHA). BHA will dissolve the oil in your pores and make your skin look less shiny. Also, make sure you're using their dramatically different moisturizing GEL and not the lotion.
If you want new products, check out this acne guide here: http://juliakazan.blogspot.com/2008/07/g鈥?/a>What facial cleanser and moisturizer will keep my face shine-free the whole day and keep all blemishes away?
I use Cetaphil. It is fragrance free and non-comedogenic...meaning it won't clog your pores. I like it because it's not like the cheap brands and it doesn't have all that extra junk in it that can clog your pores (i.e. fragrances, etc.) When I use it in the morning I put on a small amount before my cover-up and then it looks fine. It is designed for dry/oily skin. I would also recommend steaming your face by boiling water, putting it in a large bowl, and placing your face over the bowl with a towel over your head to block the steam from escaping. Good luck!
well its not a profuct but it is the best remedy for non shin and no greasy acne skin. wash rice, use the water for yyou face. and tada beautiful skin
I use Clean and clear morning burst and my face is not all shiny and blemish free.

How can i get rid of my acne, pimples, and blemishes in a very short time at the least cost at home?
i have a lot of blemishes on my face, scars from pimples and open pores, a very oily skin. please help me i feel like hell. How can i get rid of my acne, pimples, and blemishes in a very short time at the least cost at home?
Something tells me you've probably tried the acne medications available at drug stores, like Clearasil. If not, that's a good place to start. Get both the acne face wash and the blemish cream. Wash your face very thoroughly with the face wash, and follow up with a thin layer of the cream, but be aware this may cause your skin to become dry and/or red. If this happens, simply cut down on the number of times you wash your face, and only apply the acne cream to acute blemishes.
Another way to help with acne is to get some sun. Tanning beds are good, but of course you can always lay out in the sun as well. Be cautious of sunburn, however.
A tried-and-true, cheap, and very effective acne treatment in our family has always been egg yolks! You take an egg and separate it, retaining the yolk in a small bowl and either throw out the white or use it in an omelet or something. Then take the yolk and use it as a facial mask. Leave the yolk on your face until it's completely dried, and then simply wash it off with a clean washcloth and warm water, following up with a light cleanser. You can usually get two facials out of just one yolk - but be sure to keep the other half in the fridge until you're ready to use it. The reason, I believe, this works so well is that egg yolks are very high in vitamin A, which is the main ingredient in the prescription acne medication Retin-A, but does not dry out your skin nearly as much as the prescription. My teenage nephews started using this treatment about a year ago when they turned 14 (they are twins) and their faces cleared up very quickly. You can also still use acne cream with this treatment. The creams with 10% benzoyl peroxide seems to work better than the ones with salicylic acid.
Finally, another home remedy for acne is to apply a dab of regular toothpaste directly to the blemish. Be sure to use a paste and not a gel. I've found regular Colgate works well. Leave this on overnight, and usually by morning, your pimple has dried up or at least been reduced in size.
Finally, if all else fails, there are some wonderful new acne medications available now, but you would need to see either your regular doctor or preferably a dermatologist to get a prescription for these. Accutane works well, but if you're a female, be aware that accutane can cause birth defects should you become pregnant, so your doctor may insist on putting you on a method of birth control. And even some birth control pills work well to control acne, so there's a double benefit there.
As far as the scars, you could try Mederma, an over-the-counter medication to reduce the appearance of scars, but I am really not sure if this would aggravate your oily skin, so perhaps check with the pharmacist first.
Each time you wash your face, you should always end by rinsing it well with very cold water, as this will help to at least temporarily reduce the size of your pores.
Good luck - if you try nothing else, try the egg yolks. They are relatively cheap, readily available, and honestly can work wonders on acne prone skin! How can i get rid of my acne, pimples, and blemishes in a very short time at the least cost at home?
scars are caused by constant physical contact with the skin. Well first of all, you should stop squeezing and or touching the skin are where there is pimple. However to get rid of these scars, you should use biooil or see a dermatologist :)
To get rid of the acne/pimples using products 'at home' you have to get rid of the oil which creates the pimples first.
1. always wash face daily
( I advise you to use lemon juice + water, this acidity can help reduce the oilness, but dont use it on open/damaged skin)
2. put cold water/ice on your face before you sleep for 10minutes :)
3. I also heard egg white helps (mix egg white until blended well)-- put on face and sooth.
maybe try some cucumber too~? it cools the skin and leaves you feeling more refreshed
Sorry this is all i know about 'home made' things to help pimple reduction, Heres a website which might help :)
also if you eat fried/oily things, change your diet to reduce these intakes, because technically this can increase pimples. And if your pimple problem is very serious, these ideas may not work and you really have to see a professional. But good luck to you, hope it all works out.
start using face wash like use clean and clear morning burst in the morning (well dur) use there are these like face wipes tht help get dirt off your face and you can use tht through out the day you can find some at like a target there are clearsal wipes and like target brand and at night use neutrogenas relaxing face wash this wont cost very much but for when you do get acne u can get like acne treatment there are a ton of barands u can get or if u dont wanna get tht just use white toothpaste and for the scares get tht scare treatment crap it will probly help get rid of the scares from the pimples
freshly squeezed lemon juice mixed with crushed aspirin works. make it into a paste and apply. before you go to wherever you're going, put visine on anywhere it's red.
ive heard that proactive works.and acne is a medical disorder so go to the doctor and he cn give you medicine that will help fast, easy.
Hi
There are some specific methods that can help you to get rid or at least reduce your acne.
here are some tips that were helpful for me to cure my acne:
Water
Drink a lot of water every day. Aim to drink at least two liters of still mineral water. If the skin becomes dehydrated, dead skin cells are not effectively shed, which can lead to blocked pores and further acne.
Sunshine and fresh air
Sunshine stimulates the creation of vitamin D in our body - an very important vitamin for healthy skin. A little bit of fresh air and sunshine every day will also reduce your stress and increase oxygen to the skin. Even when it's overcast, the sun's rays reach us, so it's very good to take a 10 minute walk outside every day.
Reduce your intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates
New research pointing the finger at diet - eating refined carbohydrates (white bread, pasta, rice, flour etc) and sugar leads to a surge in insulin and an insulin-like growth factor called IGF-1. This in turn leads to an excess of male hormones, which encourage the skin to excrete large amounts of sebum. This grease-like substance encourages the growth of bacteria responsible for acne.
Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne
Your bed sheets
Keep your bed sheets clean. Wash your pillow case on a regular schedule to reduce the transfer of our natural body oils.
Wash your face
Wash your face just one time a day. Don't wash too many times , because that will cause only more production of oil on your skin. another option is to use very gentle cleansers for normal skin that don't dehydrate the skin and wash twice a day.
Anyhow, don't go out and buy those magical acne free in 24 hours pills that are offered all over the place, they just don't work and you will spend your money for nothing.
Why not? Well, because it takes time to get rid of acne and you will need at least one week to see any noticeable results. There is absolutely no way to treat your acne immediately.
If you really want to treat your acne there are two recommended methods that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.
Firstly and more important in my opinion, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.
There are only few decent Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to cure your acne from the inside.
Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their programs they share their valuable knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.
You can find helpful and honest review about one of the best systems today in this great article:

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.
There are hundreds of acne skin care products available in the market in these days and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.
When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:
ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.
In my experience Clearpores cleansing system work very well. Check this website to learn a lot more about this great system:

How can I keep my face from breaking out with blemishes?
I use Tea Tree Oil on it and it works fine. I would like a home remidie or something like that. Without drying up my face please! How can I keep my face from breaking out with blemishes?
I would advise against ProActiv unless your acne is very severe and even then...ehhh my brother used it and his acne disappeared for about 2 weeks and then it came back even worse than before and then we stopped ordering it but they kept sending us the product and charging us anyway - I've heard quite a few stories like this, so I'd suggest you keep using your tea tree oil - I use that, too. I also use Clearasil Skin Perfecting wash or whatever it is and Lancome Tonique Doucer and Lancome Aqua Fusion as a moisturizer - it's so light and is absorbed so easily, once a week I also use Lancome Resurface-C microdermabrasion - it leaves my skin feeling so soft! How can I keep my face from breaking out with blemishes?
toothpaste works perfectly, as long as your face is not sensitive to like the strong fumes of mint or something like that. two ways to use:
1- before bed, apply to the affected areas(like huge pimples and breakout areas) and wear overnight. wash off in the morning.
2- 1/2 and hour before you take a shower, apply a pea size amount of toothpaste on you face acting as a mask. rub all over you face. after a 1/2 hour, take a bath to rinse it off.
only use the tea tree oil for a week straight then let of for about two weeks than use it again for a week.
i use this products you can get from drugstores.
its called panoxyl 5. its 5 percent benzyl peroxide. you can get a 10 % one with a prescription! it dries out the pimples. but just use that for a week at a time too. but not the same time as the tee tree.
so how about you use tea tree oil one week, then use the panoxyl, then give a wekk of a break where you just used and exfoliator. then go throught the routine again.
good luck !
Make sure you wash your hair often.
The oils in your hair can get on your pillow and then the oils get on your face at night.

Best camera for hiding blemishes? Which is the best camera to make you look your best?
I've owned 3 cameras.. I remembr Kodak was pretty good, Canon was OK and Olympus was pretty bad it showed blemishes the most.
Opinions on cameras? Or even software to remove blemishes?Best camera for hiding blemishes? Which is the best camera to make you look your best?
The best free software that I've come across is the gimp. It doesn't matter what camera you have but I recommend Canon just because they are well known for picture quality and good flashes. Here is the link to download the gimp. As for learning how to use it, just google ';gimp tutorial'; on youtube and click on the video that shows you how to remove blemishes. Very easy. Zoom in on your blemish and all you do is hold down Ctrl and click what area you wanna clone to use over the blemish. Then click the area you want to fix.
Here's the link: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/Best camera for hiding blemishes? Which is the best camera to make you look your best?
OK, try this to make your blemishes disappear....
Get a decent 35mm camera, load it with B%26amp;W film and shoot through a red (R25) filter. Watch those blemished blend right into a normal skin tone (as the red filter will block that color)
As for digital, shoot in normal color mode, import into photoshop and delete green and cyan channel leaving the red channel and you'll get similar efffect
It's not the camera so much as lighting. If you use several lights, 'softer' lighting blemishes are not as noticeable. If you cover the lens with a nylon stocking you can cover lots of blemishes (but the pictures are less sharp--which is the idea).
The flash brings out all the blemishes and pores in skin because the light is 'bluer'. In the old film days we used to cover the flash with a handkerchief to 'soften' the lighting, meaning that lighting arrived at the subject from a wider area.
The best camera for not seeing blemishes is the cheapest camera, the one with the least resolution and sharpness! But that's not what you want.
You can deal with these better in software than in the camera. The previous answerer mentioned GIMP, and it is really good. And FREE. Fixing blemishes with this software is actually not very hard.

Food to avoid I'd say are greasy ones and alot of dairy.
Try eating alot more fresh fruits and veggies and also drinking alot of water. I know it's so cliche but it really helps. Excersize does wonders too.
And you can try some of the recommended products.
First of all, ensure that you wash your face twice a day with a gentle moisturizer.

Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 is more affordable then Photoshop and it has a blemish remover tool. Ebay for around $40.00.
Get Photoshop Elements. It is a tremendously powerful program and it only sells for $99.00. You can get it at http://www.adobe.com or any of the usual places you buy software. I am still using Photoshop Elements 5.0, but PE 6.0 is now out and Adobe claims that it has enhanced Brightness/Contrast tools, Clone tool and Black and White Conversion tool. The other enhancements seem to deal with merging photos (panoramic stitching) and organizing your photos.
Just go here http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshope鈥?/a> and click ';Free Trial'; for a 30-day free trial.
There is a tool called the ';Healing Spot Brush'; that you simple place over the blemish, ';click,'; and the blemish is gone. 95% of the time, it really is tha tsimple.

Best way to beat blemishes and help keep your skin clear ? what sort of facial regime should I follow ?
Hey I'm almost sixteen but recently my skin has gotten in terrible condition and all spotty, I'd really like some advice on facial routines and what sort of things I can do to prevent them ? Which sort of things should I do ?Best way to beat blemishes and help keep your skin clear ? what sort of facial regime should I follow ?
The best thing to do is to wash your face and keep yourself from touching it frequently throughout the day. Blemishes are usually caused by bacteria that clog pores. Those clogged pores then become pimples.
Also choose a mineral makeup or something very light instead of that cheap stuff that you can get at Walmart, ie. Jane cosmetics. I use Clinique foundation and 3 step which is really good, but also very expensive. But when it comes to my face, I'm very picky about what I put on it!Best way to beat blemishes and help keep your skin clear ? what sort of facial regime should I follow ?
This isn't going to be the most popular advice amongst your parents, but here's what worked wonders for me: BIRTH CONTROL PILLS.
Birth control contains levels of female hormones and this can help regulate your own hormones, which may help your skin. Trust me, I tried everything...Clearasil, face cleansers, acne pills, suntanning(it helps temporarily), dermatology visits. They helped a little bit but nothing dramatic, and usually they would work for a bit and then my skin would break out again. As I got older, my skin got better but still a bit splotchy. It wasn't until I went away to college at age 19, when I was able to access birth control(my parents were harshly against sex, even though I was at the adult age of consent!). A month or so later, my mom was complimenting my skin on how much clearer it got and asking me what I had done differently(meanwhile, I feigned ignorance...I didn't want her knowing it was birth control! lol)
It might be hard explaining to your parents that you'd like to try birth control for your skin...and it'll be even much harder trying to access birth control at age 16 if you don't have parental consent. But if you are already sexually active and your parents are aware and accepting of this, it might be easier to convince them to get you birth control, because then the birth control would serve TWO benefits. (I have a friend that was put on birth control by her parents as a teenager because they knew she was having sex, but they also realized that they couldn't stop her from having sex and figured that the least they could do is make sure she doesn't get pregnant from it)
First wash your face no more than 3 times a day, no less than 2.
If you have a white head problem benzoyl peroxide is the best. Get the maximun 10% but definately moisturize after. If you just put the medication on, your skin will produce even MORE oil. Salicylic Acid works too.
If you have deep, nodular blemishes you should exfoliate really well, because it's not so much a bacterial problem then as your skin just isn't shedding itself properly. I have the nodular kind and kind St. Ives Apricot Scrub works wonders. I also use benzoyl peroxide. Also, neosporin works on really bad blemishes to help them heal faster.
i had that same problem too about a week ago. my skin was smooth and all of a sudden it became all spotty. i recommend that you exfoliate alot because that helped me. and then follow with a toner and oil free moisturizer. :]
Firstly, make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturise every moning and night. Get these products all the same brand that work with each other as they compliment each other-I use estee lauder products but these are quite pricey. You can get products for your kind of skin-try boots or superdrug. Debenhams is the best place as you can have a consultation and thry can find you the best stuff for you skin type, but like i said can be pricey. I also use tea tree oil at night-just dab it on any spots you have with a cotton bud. Also drink plenty of water-2 litres a day. And try not to let it get you down-most people have problem skin at some point so its perfectly normal. Good luck xx
the best way is to
1. Drink plenty of WATER!
2. Cleanse, tone and of course moisturise. (Morning and before bed)
3. eat loads of fruit and veg!
4. If your not getting enough then take Multi-Vit's.
Cleanse, tone and moisterise. Use Simple products for Sensetive skin or Nivea do a great range for teenagers. Make sure you choose cleansers, toners and moisterisers for your skin type e.g oily, normal, or dry. Clean your face in the morning at at night by spreading cleanser over your face and pressed a hot wet face towl over your face, gently using it to remove traces of dirt and make up. Repeat this if you are wearing make up as it will not take all the make up off in one go. Then put some toner on a cotton pad and gently clean your face and neck with it and follow up with some moisteriser into damp skin. Dont put moisteriser on at night, only morning, your skin needs to breath at night. Use a gentle face scrub once a week too after you have cleansed.
And of course plenty of water, exercise, fresh air and a good diet will keep your spots at bay.
Make sure that you always remove your make up for a start!! Cleanse, tone and moisturise is what i do, and it has made my skin lovely!! :-) One warning though - it cleans your skin, so you may get a few more spots than usual for the first week of using them while it starts working, but its getting worse to get better!!

What is a good product to use on old blemishes and scars?
I have some old scars on my face due to pimples, what is a really good product I can buy to get rid of them COMPLETELY?
Also, what is a really good exfoliator? What is a good product to use on old blemishes and scars?
*This is a very safe, natural, minimal cost treatment and works wonders on all kinds of scars. See the response below from happy user, Jasmin *** (Had asked how to remove acne scars/marks as had no success with countless products.)
I had pronounced acne and childhood accident scars and it completely rid my skin of all them. Use any oil, but the best for acne prone skins are olive, sweet almond or grape seed - used by skin specialists for treating and curing acne. Buy last two at Walmart or Walgreens (Check online which stores have them.) or GNC - they have a wide selection of oils.
First, tighten skin by opening mouth 3/4'; and pulling lips firmly back against teeth. Then vigorously and repeatedly massage scars - the rubbing friction simply rubs them away. Gradually build up to vigorous as skin and also hands have to adjust. For quickest results build up to 20 to 30 minutes a day(not necessarily in one session). Massage must be forward and back not circular. Do with front and tips of fingers and sometimes front of entire hand depending where applying. There is a knack but to give you an idea - massage from chin point with front of entire hand(use both hands together) up to cheek bones and back. In other areas you will do smaller sweeps using tips and front of fingers - in mouth areas for example.
You will see some fading the first week or two, then progress seems to quicken. Keep it up and you will rid skin of all scars and marks. Treatment rid my skin of every single one overtime and also of every single spot and blemish. It also tightened and firmed it and gave me a younger, much healthier, glowing and near flawless skin.
Do this treatment and then maintain a less frequent (briefer and less vigorous) whole face massage and you will never need to exfoliate again. Only unhealthy skins need constant exfoliating.
Try it - you will be happy that you did!

How can I get rid of dark spots that blemishes left?
I'm kind of in a hurry for clear skin (less than 2 weeks), so how can I get rid of the dark spots that old blemishes left? Is there any simple lotions or steps? How can I get rid of dark spots that blemishes left?
You could try lotion with chamomile infusions, as I've heard this really helps with scarring and getting rid of the hyperpigmentation you see in old blemishes.
If that's hard to find, you could use shea butter, which has cocoa butter extracts in it, which is a very well-known aid for helping in the removal of scars.
Good luck! :3How can I get rid of dark spots that blemishes left?
You have to go to a dermatologist they have cream for that. My friend is Mexican and she went and they gave her a fade cream, you can't even tell now. In future you have to be careful of the sun, because they will darken.
I know! I have the same problem. Not really pimples, but sort of dark spots. I think maybe some Neosporin before bed would help the healing process.
Proactiv has an acne scar treatment which works rather well. I have used it before, and after about 2 months, they are visibly reduced!

What can redheaded women do for their ugly skin blemishes?
Redheads tend to have weird skin discolorations, freckles, and ultra-pale skin.
Is there surgery to remove their freckles or are redheaded women hopelessly ugly? What can redheaded women do for their ugly skin blemishes?
Freckles are pretty. =]
(This coming from a freckled person, of course.)
If your skin discolorations really bother you, you can always try using topical medications to remove them. Lemon juice also seems to help make your skin look like it's one solid color.
Personally, I find that when I'm not wearing foundation, my skin has the exact same color and texture as salami. =/
I use BareMinerals, because it is the only thing that has a full enough coverage without looking unnatural. What can redheaded women do for their ugly skin blemishes?
I have red hair and I get the redness on the checks when I fail to take good care of my skin for to long. The freckles are barely noticeable and every one who doesn't have them likes them.
I would suggest to you to take better care of your skin. Moisturizers and washing all the make up off before you go to sleep, sunblock on the face when every sunny, I recommend either a baby sun block for the face or neutrogena.
Good luck.
I am so sorry that you feel this way,you should take a look at thet May issue of Allure magazine or it might be June sorry,it features a fab redheaded model that the photographer goes on and on about her beautiful red hair and freckles.hair styling

What make- up should I use to cover up blemishes and pimples?
I am a Puertorican 14 year old, if that helps with your answer, I also have tan colored skin. What make- up should I use to cover up blemishes and pimples?
At your age, assuming the rest of your skin has a good tone, you simply need a concealer. Some great ones that come in nice tan colors with good yellow undertones are from e.l.f (everything is just $1!) and is available on their website. Some other lines to try are meet mark (available on their website) and the L'Oreal HIP line.
To apply, simply dab with a small brush (similar to a lip brush), using a thin coat of concealer. Let dry and then if necessary, add another thin coat. Then apply a light layer of pressed powder. All the companies above also make great ones.
Also important, really concentrate on solving your skin breakouts by possibly seeing a dermatologist who can recommend products and a skin care regime to at least reduce the breakouts. As far a good product lines for teens, try the Biore line, Neutrogena and Phisoderm. What make- up should I use to cover up blemishes and pimples?

you stated that your puertorican so im going to ASSUME that you have oily to combination skin......
always start with a good cleanser in the shower.... no Noxzema or sea breeze!!!! lol, for OTC ( over the counter) try St. Ives.... they're really sufficient and affordable and you can find it anywhere (wall-mart).... just look for the cleanser that is recommended for your skin.
now, you should always use a daycream or light moisturizer. Why? because no make-up in the world will cover blemishes 100%. and with a good cleanser you need to apply a daycream to have a barrier between your pretty skin and your make-up... that way your skin is soaking up good vitamins all day instead of just make up!!!
But if your just interested in the make-up aspect.... make sure it's a mineral based make-up.... it can get a little pricey but some it pretty tolerable! Try Physician's Formula ( CVS, WalMart) there pretty good for OTC. And Sally's Beauty Supply has a wonderful blemish cover stick..... i think its called CoverMySpots.... but its the only one they carry....... hope i helped!
Mac Studio Fix Powder that will minizies your pores.
try to find a product to get rid of them too so you wont have to worry about the makeup so much, find an acne wash

It's called concealer. It comes in different shades, and also has different purposes differing from shade to shade. Green, for instance, covers up red spots. A concealer in your skin color just covers up your normal blemishes. If you don't have much money to spend, you can check out stuff at Wal Mart. If you have some money, but not much, and you're still looking to shop at WalMart, try Physician's Formula stuff. [It's a brand] They make stuff really good for your skin. If you have a little more money to spend, go to your local mall and check out the makeup counter. Most of your make up counters will let you try stuff for free. I hope I helped!
Heyy...your representing the boriquas...lol...but seriously the best thing to do is get a hydrating cleanser and moisturizer to clean your face. Then get an intense acne remover, it is inexpensive, and can be found in the cosmetics aisle in any drug store or pharmacy. Apply to the spot and follow the directions. Your blemish or pimple should be gone in a couple of days. But as for the make-up, don't put a lot of make-up on the spot. You don't want the spot getting irritated, and worse becoming infected. Hope i helped!! %26lt;33
Nuetrogena blemish control makeup.
I like to dust a loose powder over my blemishes with a professional powder brush made out of animal hairs... The brush should be rounded and have no ';cut with a scissor hairs';... Covergirl's brush with blush, is a pretty good example of the wrong brush to use. Buy them from a department store...
Benefit cosmetics, some kind of gorgeous is a concealer that you can apply for a little more coverage... Don't rub it in, pat it in. Do this before loose powdering.
To take care of your acne, buy a cleanser for your skin type (prolly oily)... Do this before sleeping and after waking up.... To replenish your moisture level, use a simple moisturizer with sunscreen (pesky wrinkles) after cleansing. Do a weekly facial with a deep scrub and/or a clay mask depending on oilyness... Want to save on beauty supplies? Use baking soda instead of a store-bought deep scrub.
Concealer with a yellow tint-it helps to fight the redness. Cover with your regular foundation.

Is it ok to use skin whitening creams for blemishes and dark spots when you have an oily type skin?
What brand would you use if you have oily type skin?Is it ok to use skin whitening creams for blemishes and dark spots when you have an oily type skin?
Many products and treatments have proven not to help at all and some worsen condition. Do an Answers Search to see many will attest to that. Using whitening creams is going to bleach skin and - then you will have white spots to be concerned about. I was careless about sun exposure, never used any protection and paid the price with dark skin spots, discolorations and unsightly pigmentations. The ONLY safe, effective treatment I found was rubbing them over and over many times using any oil. It's the rubbing friction makes them fade away. If you can do that for 5 min or more several times a day you will see noticeable results in 7 to 10 days . Keep it up and you can get complete fading. Treatment works equally as well on dry or oily skin .You will need to make skin taught to do the rubbing. Wish you the best!

yes you can use diana stalder products and they have the best products... Please do not buy unbranded diana stalder products because too many seller selling fake and they are not allowed selling unbranded products here in the USA because they are not FDA approve but you can buy the branded and if you want to see what its look like this is the site too check

Better be safe than sorry later on, if you see a diana stalder picture with no diana stalder signature please do not buy it as they might be selling fake...
yes, some users actually experience oil control when using skin whitening creams because of the exfoliation effect in the skin whitening process.

the good old fashioned way! wear little make up! people wear it to cover up spots/blemishes but when you dont wear it you dont have any to cover up! - i noticed that after two days of cutting down the amount of make up i wore and taking it off as soon as i didnt need it with water or an non fraganced face wipe that my face looked compleatly different! also washing it with a simple face wash at night works really well and using a gentle moisturiser after (i recommend nivia) but becarefull not to over wash it as you will be doing more damage then good by washing away everthing your skin needs!

My skin tends to scar and blemish easily after I get a pimple. I've found that chances of me getting a blemish on my face decreases when I avoid popping my pimples. Other than that, getting rid of the blemish will take some time. I use a cleanser with salicylic acid and a good moisturizer and toner (I usually use clinique). In the mean time, I would just use a good concealer and/or foundation.
This site, http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of鈥?/a> also has some good tips :).
Getting acne once a month is probably because of hormones and your period. Make sure to wash your face regularly without soap. (Using soap will dry out your face.) Clean %26amp; Clear has a nice effect for the cheek area. Your biggest problem is popping and picking. No matter what remedy you find, if you do that you will ruin everything you started.
It's okay to pop whitehead, but make sure to wash your face right after to avoid bacteria spreading. Drink lots of water whenever your period happens, if you know the regular date, drink lots of water a week before.

How can i get rid of the red blemishes on my face?
I really hate them and think its time to start getting a clear complexion.
Does anybody know a quick acting cream etc that i can use. I want a non surgical treatment by the way.
ThanksHow can i get rid of the red blemishes on my face?
clearasil or any spot treatment type cream, wash your face regularly, drink lots of water as it detoxes and rehydrates the skin and always remove makeup before going to be, cleanse once to take off the make up and again to clean the pores and tone after... for white heads put a blob of toothpaste on it before going to bed as it will dry the spot out..
You should have a great complexion soon!!!How can i get rid of the red blemishes on my face?
just wash your face with a gentle cleanser(also with cold water) then if you want you could get a prascrption(?) of Lac-Hydrin cream its about 80 dollars, but that was like a year ago so now its probaly 60, besides your insurence should cover it.

Hello,
There are different steps you could takee. first of all, try drinking lots of water. try also using soap that doesnt try out your skin. try clearasil...hope i helped you out
try bio oil
Blemishes :(?
Right, so I usually use this acne treatment to removed the few blemishes I get, but I've ran out and awating to buy some more...
I started using this clinique anti-blemish soloutions sh!t and it actually gave my skin a bad reaction and i've broken out badly
:( Obv i've stopped using it but the blemishes aren't going...
What products at home, can I use to reduce the redness and lumpy blemishes (till my treatment arrives)..
I've tried using toothpaste over the years and it doesn't do anything!! Neither does Sudocreme (anything for Nappy/Diaper rashes)
Anyone have a soloution that works?? :( desperate for my poor skin to become clear once again, thanks xBlemishes :(?
No short term solution I'm afraid, but i recommend Eve Lom cleanser. Its expensive but a tub of it lasts months as you only use a little bit each time.
It comes with instructions on how to give yourself a facial to clear the lymph system of your face and its really easy and it really works as it helps the toxins clear away and not stay around your face.
Defo only thing thats ever worked for me
Theres all those home remedy stuff too, like toothpaste and lemon juice thats meant to 'dry out' the spot but it only irritates the skin and stings like hell. Antiseptic things are good.
If you want a cheap home remedy get a calendula plant for your window sill- they're also called pot marigolds (not to be confused with plain old marigolds) and use the petals to make a tea infusion and dab on your skin.... (its the same calendula you get in all the creams etc)
Also I recommend Honey, applied topically. Honey is an antiseptic, antibiotic, antibacterial and antifungal. Its natures little miracle!Blemishes :(?
I have to say something about Eve Lom, it is full of mineral oil which is basically neat petrochemical. If you have sensitive skin please don't waste your money. A lot of people really rate it but it is really so famous because Eve herself is so amazing, the magic comes from her, not the balm!!
Amanda Lacey has a really good cleansing pommade and REN products are bloody brilliant at cleansing and don't carry these 'quick fix chemicals'.
dont think that its not working cause u break out more when u first use it. ur only breakink out more cause its bring out all the zits so it can get rid of them. if they stay in ur skinn but dont come out, they get medicated and go away. its just part of the cycle in acne treatment. use proactive and ask them about there oil free make to cover those blemishes and use it everyday. if u skipp it once it work as quikley and u have to start the cycle over agian!!
Hi Hun,
I would normally recommend you use toothpaste but as you have said it doesnt work for you. I normally use this and a strong perfume or aftershave, just a dot added to it. I normally also use the perfume or aftershave alone if im out partying and spot a spot appearing and it works straight away so maybe try some of that on its own? it burns a little but thats good because its killing it !
x
stop using foundation for a while because it makes acne skin worse and wash you rface with soap 2 a day. you purpose should be to keep your face as clean as you can. then you will have less. and instead of doing smth yourself, you better go to a doctor and check your hormones and stuff. hope i helped you
*soak a cotton ball in lukewarm water with a LOT of salt and apply to pimple
*make a honey mask and slowly peel off when it dries
*fresh cucumber juice on a cotton wool pads and apply all over the face
*apply egg whites on face until it dries then rinse off in cool water
I use Clearasil perfecting wash. It has a gentle exfoliating action, not gritty or rough, smells great, doesn't react with my sensitive skin. Just splash to wet face and apply some all over face, avoid eye area. Then rinse off. I tend to get a skin reaction if my face has been near my pets fur.
A fabulous soothing moisturizer can work wonders, it may not get rid of any spots u may have but it will certainly get rid of redness and sooth any rash u may have, i recommend vaseline intensive, remeber, use a little though as too much makes it go greasy :), good luck :)
you need to get to pharmacy asap and get a hydrocortisone cream (CREAM NOT GEL) gels will make you break out worse because they've usually got some sort of petroleum in them... that should soothe the redness almost immediately and should prevent you from breaking out any more.
use witch hazel toner every night and morning after you've washed your face.
it helped my skin a LOT.
answer mine thanx :]

Blemishes...???
Are blemishes those marks left from pimples or
are they something different?
I'm so confused =SBlemishes...???
A blemish is a mark in the skin caused by pimples, blocked pores, a skin rash or scarring. You can lighten skin blemishes or freckles using nothing more than natural products such as lemon oil, coconut oil or carrot juice. Although, it will take a month or so to see the lighting effects, this product seems to be the best. Everyone reacts differently to different products.
=)Blemishes...???
The products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.
Personally, Proactive didn't work for me. I have been using Biore products for over a year and I hardly ever break out! Occasionally I will get one or two, but nothing bad. I use Biore Ice Cleanser for acne and Biore warming facial scrub every morning for blackheads (This stuff works. I notcied a DRASTIC diffrence in my blackeads being GONE within 2 weeks) . And then 3-4 day s a week I use Biore purging pore cream scrub. For body acne I use Neutrogena acne body wash I never break out on my body. It gets 110 in summer so sweat in inevitably, yet I never break out. Give it a try. All of it is cheap too. About $5-10 depending on what you buy! Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! I think you will just need to experiment with products until you find what works for you. Remember, it can take 1 month for products to fully begin working! Good Luck!

i have no pimples but my face is always red!!! i dunno why, but it really bothers me!! any suggestions?
***please dont suggest make up. no offense, but im only 12. i dont wear make up yet.***Blemishes?
It might just be rosacia.. this is when you blush easily. Don't wear make up because sometimes it will make you break out. Go to your doctor if you are ver concern. It might run in the family. But, if it's your ';imperfection';, learn to perfect it by loving it; it's what makes you different that counts! It's like my beauty mark on my cheek (just a tiny dot that sets me apart from everyone else)
P.S. Don't worry! Over 14 million Americans have it. it can't be cured, but it can be controlled. Just tell your mom to take you to the doctors!!Blemishes?
oh my friend has that!
theres a cream you can use called Redness Reduction Calming Creme every night thats just like washing your face except it helps to hide the redness. also try putting on lotion everyday so your skin gets more moisture.

if it is dry and/or burning, its sunburn. other wise go to a dermatologist and ask them.
im 12 too and that isn't too young to see a dermatologist (skin/face specialist)
that sucks! mine is the same way. im 15 but i wear make up to cover it because it's the only way i know, some of my friends have creams they use but they dont work =/
Try a good face wash. The Clean and Clear brand works fairly well. Also, try eating an apple every day (they reduce redness) and drink plenty of water.
I use make-up and im 11! Anyway you can put on lotion that might help. Ummmm... get a lotion tan and maybe stay out of the sun?
i would wear sunblock ever time i went out into the sun. and try to moisturize it every night before you go to bed.
your a girl, wear makeup
omg what if you were a guy!
(well...your a girl, right?)
ice can sometimes cool it down
talk to your doctor. it could be roschia.

My sister has blemishes real bad on her face. When she has no make-up on her face, her skin is really red. She says it don't hurt but she cannot go anywhere without make-up. Is this a skin disease? She says nothing works as far as getting rid of the redness. Any sugestions?Blemishes?
it could be a skin condition called rosesili that can cause skin to turn red almost all the time so ask a dermotologist. or it may be natural. =)Blemishes?
see a dr
It is a skin disease, head to a dotor.
Too much make up could be agitating the skin or blocking the pores so try using less/changing brands.
I was on roacutain for 4 months and a side effect of it was a red rash on my face and arms but using a moisteriser helped so maybe your sis could try that.
Good luck.

My sister has alot of blemishes on her face. Her skin is really red when she has no make-up on. What is the best thing I can tell her to use? Nothing seems to work for her.Blemishes?
Tell her to wash her face before going to school, if she is still in school, and then apply moisturizer before adding of the foundation/concealer. Before going to bed, she should wash her face. Put lemon juice on a cotton ball and apply liberally to the face. It may tingle or sting but it helps shrink pores which release lots of oil. Don't pick the blemishes, just let them go. It looks better and doesn't get as red. Tell her if this doesn't help, buy tee tree oil and do the same as the lemon juice. If once again that doesn't work, have a parent take her to the doctors and they will proscribe her a topical medication. Good luck ;)Blemishes?
a little bit of concealer to cover the worst of them, then a little foundation (not to thick) and some light, translucent powder to kill any shine. Make-ups with a yellow base are great for covering redness and darkness.
My son had the same problem, and he tried everything from pro-active, and lots of other products. I finally took him to an aestitician (someone who does facials). She did face mapping on his face and could tell what kind of skin he had, and what he should use. The cost was very nominal, and now he has very clear skin.
yer i have the same problem! i have random blemishes on my face! tell her to use natural collection concealer. It works REALLY well!. good luck!..........

How I can rid my back of pigment blemishes?
My back and arms are so ugly. My back looks prickely with blemishes and with a dark discolouration that looks like my skin needs a good scrubbing. I have hated it for years and I always wear tops or a dress that will not show my back. I saw a dermatologist a few years ago and was told that there is nothing he can do to help me. I can't afford to go for private treatment. At the moment I'm using bio-oil but I believe there must be some product on the market that I can use more effectively. I am suffering from a bad back and wanted to have a full back massage but I can't for this reason. If anyone can share a solution, or is in the same boat as me, I would be grateful to hear from you. I would love to at least wear something summery on our family holiday. How I can rid my back of pigment blemishes?

Any good products that will get rid of blemishes on back and shoulders?
I have lots of little (well more like medium) blemishes on my back and shoulders because of acne (not really acne, it looks more like white bumps) and black heads, is there any products (that don't cost a lot) or home remedies that will get rid of them or make them look a lot less visible?Any good products that will get rid of blemishes on back and shoulders?
Neutrogena Body Clear Body wash in Pink GrapefruitAny good products that will get rid of blemishes on back and shoulders?
A great solution to ';bacne'; is a salicylic acid body spray. Pro-activ sells it, Avon, any beauty supply store or maybe walmart will sell it. its great for hard to reach spots. Also a loofah on a stick in the shower will help get rid of those bumps by exfoliating and exposing new skin cells. Vitamin D from the sun helps dry up the oils in your skin that cause acne by clogging pores. so if you tan, not only with that help but your skin will be darker and the spots less noticeable. As always, use some SPF because a burn wont help you.
Exfoliating will help that a LOT. Get a shower puff on a stick, or a back scrubber to get rid of dead skin and dirt that clogs your pores with the sweat.
in my experience the best solution is visiting your pediatrician or dermatologist, nothing else is really going to work especially all those fake home remedies
I out honey on them and put on a bandaid on. I hope it works : )

What is the best product to use on blemishes?
i have pretty clear skin, but i have a couple of blemishes from the past that just haven't gone away with time.. is there are products that i could get at my local pharmacy, sephora, avon, mary kay etc. that will make htem go away or atleast make them a lot less visable?
thanks. What is the best product to use on blemishes?
Hi, find a skin whitening cream at your local beauty supply store. Go in and ask the clerk. Not rite-aid, a real beauty supply store. That's to get the blemish to fade. The best concealer I have found for covering up is a cross between two: Joe Blasco red neutralizer either #1 or #2 depending on if your skin is warm or cold. I use #2 because I have warm skin. (Warm means yellow undertones. Cold is blue untertones) The other is from MAC. They have a great concealer, too. These are products celebrity make-up artists use.
Hope this helps! What is the best product to use on blemishes?

i have had acne for 2 years now. i dont know what to do. right now i am using neutrogena oil free acne wash (orange bottle). it works for the breakouts, but i still have lots of blemishes. what should i do? is there any product that works for blemishes on cheeks? thanks!Blemishes....?
St. ives apricot scurb is really good. I just bought it about a week ago and I already see a difference in my skin . :)Blemishes....?
I find that a product called calendula cream helps on everything from burst spots to rashes to eczema, and I recommend you give it a go. It`s pretty amazing actually, because it works really well on a variety of skin disorders. I recommend trying some - a small tube can be obtained from most drug stores, and even if it does`t work very well on your blemishes it`s still a handy cream to have - Best of luck!
I've use st ives and honestly never saw any improvements. I'm going to be once again trying the Body Shop's tea tree oil line (as tea tree oil is good for antibacterial stuff). If you are having serious issues with your acne or blemishes, I would suggest talking to a doctor and seeing if they can put you on something, like a trial of a product. I went to my doctor and got birth control and it honestly had made me zit free, and I've been using it for about... maybe 5 or 6 months now? Other than getting one zit just recently due to lack of proper skin maintenance and also lack of sleep, it helps. I've basically never found a product that gets rid of acne other than that. But if I were you, I would say to find a Body Shop store near you and ask to get some samples from the tea tree oil stuff. If you don't live near one, then go to a health store and look for PURE tea tree oil, as this will basically aid in healing up blemishes. And if you have oily skin at all, it would help with this as well.
So try out some samples and see if anything works well for you. But remember that you also should be maintaining a regular skin routine, involving cleansing, toning and thenmoisturizing every morning and then repeating at night, and then exfoliating at least twice a week (you can just use one of those brushes instead of buying a scrub and using it with your cleanser) and remember to drink a lot of water as it helps remove toxins. If none of these things work for you then again I advise seeking advise from your doctor if the blemishes bother you a lot.
Hey, I've had the same problem. I used ProActiv but I would NOT get it! It does not work, not for me. I'm using the Clean %26amp; Clear Advantage kit, and it works perfect. You can get it any where like Wal-Mart or Target. If you get the kit together, it's around $25, but if you get each one seperate, the cleanser, moisturizing, and on-the-spot acne formula, then it's less; like around $20. I hope this helps you!
DO NOT use the scrub. if you have acne (as I do) a scrub will only spread the oils and impurities in your skin around. Try a face wash with salicylic acid or benzol peroxide. they will dry out your skin so you need a good moisturizer but they should help with the acne. If you can, go get a facial or two... they will definitely help if you can go regularly.
Blemishes will fade naturally after breakouts happen less and less frequently.
Try eating foods with less oils in them (less chocolate, chips, and french fries).
Don't touch your face unless you exfoliate afterwards;human fingers give off oil.
Good luck~~
P.S. Keep your hair out of your face, it als contains pore clogging oils.
I dont think you should use a scrub, its too harsh on your skin, and can cause even more acne.. I use proactiv, and I must say, I loved the results.. I reccomend it. But remember, if you buy it, use a face cream, to make sure your skin stays hydrated after you use the three step system.
Personally I think you should go to a dermetologist. They will do an analysis of your skin type and give you the best regimin and products for your unique skin type. However, if you are strapped for cash. I've recently read that 1 cup of witch hazel and 1 teaspoon of alcohol is a good astringent. It won't dry your skin because witch hazel helps you maintain your natural moisturizers as it cleans.
Start with your diet. Drink at least 8 full glasses of water each day (that is about a half a gallon). More fruit, some supplements, like B vitamins, E and A...AND there is this wonderful extract they make from Witch Hazel, they sell it by the alcohol at local supermarkets..AND get ahold of some tea tree oil....it's a natural antiseptic and it's wonderful!! Some people sell it in the form of a product called Melaleuca...

Okay you need to listen to me.
Go in your bathroom and throw away the Neutrogena, it's the worst!
Then go to the store and buy Cetaphil and then go to the phone and call up a local dermatologist, it might cost money, but you won't regret it!
Go on accutane. Ask your doctor about it. I suffered from acne and its the best thing I ever did.
Also for now use clean and clear deep cleaning astringent in an orange color and aveno cream for acne prone skin. These 2 products work wonders.
Good Luck!

The best thing I ever did for my acne was to go on birth control. It clears your skin right up.
proactive works real good and its only 20 dollars and it last me about 3 months

I suggest Tea Tree Oil.
just dont touch ur cheeks
naw mann dat aint acne u have herpes
St. ives apricot scurb is really good.

I have old blemishes on my legs from mosquitoes. Does the product Mederma really work for African Americans?
I'm 20 yrs old and want pretty legs. The scars/blemishes are about 14 yrs old. I want them to vanish by May because I'm in a wedding and I'm going on a cruise. I have tried cocoa butter for over a year along with vitamin E serum and Ambi fade cream.I have old blemishes on my legs from mosquitoes. Does the product Mederma really work for African Americans?
I have no idea how effective Mederma is for getting rid of scars and blemishes and specially those ones that are 14 years old. But I am quite confident about Zenmed's Scars and Hyperpigmentation treatment kit, that it works to get rid of old scars. I used it to remove chicken pox scars that my daughter had on her body for 3 years and nothing else worked but this scar treatment kit from Zenmed.
This product is purely herbal and hence is suitable for use on any skin type and age. It would surely help you to make those blemishes invisible within two to three months.

How long does it take for picked at blemishes to heal?
Alright every now and then I get these bumps on my skin, they are the same color as my skin so you don't really notice them, and yesterday I was picking at a couple of them now they're all red. I should have just left them alone... =[
How long will it take for them to return to normal color or to heal? And what can speed this up?
Thanks. How long does it take for picked at blemishes to heal?
Put toothpaste on them on them at night when you go to bed.How long does it take for picked at blemishes to heal?
for me, the redness went away after a couple of days, and it turned brown. The brown colour lasts for a looonnnggg time, so use concealer. U can apply a type a cream to help the skin cells repair themselves faster: do some research
put neosporin on them at night to help them heal quicker.
then it will take 2-3 days
a week they wont ever turn the way they were before
but you really shouldnt pick them. because they will leave scars.

What is the best facial cream to reduce blemishes and scars from the face?
i have small light and dark purple scars/blemishes on my chin and want to know how to reduce the appearance or get rid of them.
Has anybody got any suggestions, that doesn't involve me making the cream myself?
Thank you =]What is the best facial cream to reduce blemishes and scars from the face?
Bio Oil is a good choice, I've used it to fade a scar and it does work, but slowly. I checked my bottle and it says it's okay to use on faces. It's about 拢10 for a bottle, but you use the smallest amounts and I should imagine it would last a long long time if you are only applying it to your face.
Good luck with it, I hope it works for you. What is the best facial cream to reduce blemishes and scars from the face?
Microdermabrasion will get rid of it quicker than any creams - heres some info for you:
Microdermabrasion (often referred to as Microderm) is a family of cosmetic procedures popular in day spas, doctors' practices, and medical spas in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion, to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin.
The procedure is not very painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars. There is very little, if any, evidence that microdermabrasion stimulates collagen formation. Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of acne, but must be repeated periodically to be effective.
A good place to go for it is SKN CLINICS

A chemical peel is a non-invasive method used to brighten and rejuvenate skin. It can make skin look less wrinkled, smooth out acne scars, other blemishes and enlarged pores and remove pigment spots. It also has a positive impact on oily skin. Chemical peels are a safe and easy way to freshen your skin.
The procedure is suitable for just about anyone who is looking for a quick improvement in their skin appearance, and a very effective way of removing skin blemishes. The procedure lasts several minutes; a peeling solution of a variety of substances is used, most often hydroxyl acid.
Today you don't even have to go to a derma's clinic for chemical peel. You can do it in the comfort of your own home. It is safe and very effective, and you get the results that you've been dreaming of!

';When my son was 6 years old, he was attacked by an Alsatian and terribly mauled in the face. Later, dark red scars covered his face from the nose upward. In the ';old manuscript,'; point 33 states that, this tincture takes away all SCARS, WOUNDS AND CUTS, even if very old, if moistened up to 40 times. Therefore, our son's scars were now moistened daily. Very soon, they disappeared, even the ones deep in the nose.';
Other than that I would ask at your chemist or just try vitamin E cream.

What is the best kind of powder that will provent shine, look natural, and hide blemishes?
Also, I like something that is cheap, like you can get it at a drugstore aka CVS or Walgreens! thanks! What is the best kind of powder that will provent shine, look natural, and hide blemishes?
Try using elf blotting papers for helping absorb excessive oil/shine. These are very cheap...only $1.00 for 50 ct.
If you don't have sensitive skin, try Milani Minerals. For an inexpensive drugstore brand of Mineral Makeup, their ingredients don't look so bad %26amp; several gals love it. Mineral cosmetics help soften the look of blemishes and doesn't look cakey like traditional liquids and powder makeup.
Use a taklon concealer brush to lightly cover noticeable blemishes/redness (just light pats with the brush) and then do a light layer or two of mineral foundation with a kabuki brush, blend in %26amp; keep it light. What is the best kind of powder that will provent shine, look natural, and hide blemishes?
You are very welcome! =D I hope it works out for you. If not, try Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics at: http://www.lumierecosmetics.com/index.php --it's my Holy Grail for mineral foundation %26amp; synthetic brushes, especially.
Good luck! Report Abuse
Skip the powder %26amp; use a blotting paper to get rid of shine.
Too much powder looks cakey %26amp; brings attention to the problem...not natural looking at all...
Bare Minerals works really well, but its kinda expensive...
Why not try to get MAC matte? It's not a powder, but like a gelish sort of thing... it will help you makeup over it adhere and stay and it'll help you not get so shiny, and its not too expensive
I actually LOVE the Maybelline shine control powder, it's cheap but works great =]

What makeup should I wear to cover my blemishes?
I don't have bad acne, just slight bumps, and I'm wondering what makeup could I wear to cover it up?What makeup should I wear to cover my blemishes?
Try a powder foundation like Bare Minerals. It may be a little expensive ($25.00) but one container usually lasts me 6 months! And you don't have to worry about it expiring because it's all natural ingredients and better for your skin than liquid foundation. The worst thing you want to have happen is have the makeup plug up your pores. Mine doesn't do that and the coverage is awesome! What makeup should I wear to cover my blemishes?
You can get some real good concealer from avon, its cheap and i swear by it you can just add your regular make up on top of it and is unnoticeable xx
alright girl Allmay has a whole line of clear complexion makeup I have the concealer and foundation and powder..ITS AMAZING! it matches your skin tone perfectly and will cover, heal, and prevent blemishes
hope that helps
Only use good quilty stuff because if it isn't, it'll block your pores and make your skin worse. I think you should try a facewash or something to help get rid of blemishes instead of trying to cover them.
x
Put on some cover up on your bumbs, then just blend it in.
i wouldnt cover them it will make it worse.. but try proactive because..IT WORKS it really does.. in a few days you can see big changes but when you start you have to keep doing it cuz otherwise you will start to get them back
You should try aveeno to take care of your blemishes. I use Mac's foundation and powder and it works when i have a spot or bump.

alright girl Allmay has a whole line of clear complexion makeup I have the concealer and foundation and powder..ITS AMAZING! it matches your skin tone perfectly and will cover, heal, and prevent blemishes
hope that helps
Foundation or Powder :)

I'm looking for information on the correct way to treat facial skin with both blemishes and wrinkles?
What is the correct way to treat it as far a skin care routines go? Are there any good websites I can go to?I'm looking for information on the correct way to treat facial skin with both blemishes and wrinkles?
Paula Begoun has a lot of really great information on this page of skin care facts and routines:

As far as skin care routine goes, the basic steps are:
1) cleanse the face twice daily.
2) Use a blemish control toner twice daily.
3) Exfoliate using a scrub once or twice a week.
4) moositurize the face using an oil-free lotion.
Mary kay has a range of products that you can try. Timewise 3-in-1 cleanser for combination to oily skin, timewise age- fighting moisturizer, timewise night solution. These are some of the products you can try. They work you just have to give time to see results.
CVS is probably the best possible store for you. They are packed with facial cleansors, treatments, and unwrinklers! For healthy skin, I recommend using any Neutrogena facial scrub. They are all good, and all oil free. As for wrinkles, there is no real way to get rid of them. Here is the only main way to get rid of wrinkles; put on sunscreen. Being in the sun too much will give you TONS and TONS of wrinkles over time, plus you can get skin cancer. Another thing to get rid of wrinkles is Burt's Bees products. I'm not sure if it works, but knowing Burt's Bees products, it probably does.
Good luck! Hope this works well for you.
I don't know if you've ever heard of artistry or not but they have tons of skin care products for all different types of skin. Their clarifying system could help with the blemishes and they do have a bunch of products for wrinkles. Their vitamin c and wild yam treatment works great and all of their stuff is guarenteed to work or they will give you all your money back. You can't buy their stuff in stores at all but you can get it at http://www.adrennnan.qhealthbeauty.com You'll be able to read all sorts of info on all the products you look at and decide what would be for you. You can mix and match the systems too to meet your individual needs and I know right now they have a special where if you spend $75 or more you'll get free shipping. Definately check out the vitamin c and wild yam though cuz it works miracles on wrinkles. Hope this answered your question :) Best Wishes
The site http://www.HealthySkinPortal.com would be a useful site for you to visit. Aside from skin care routines, you can look into peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments to help you get the results you are looking to achieve.
The most important steps to be done everyday are as follows:
1. Cleanse twice a day to remove impurities and belmishes and dirt.
2. Use a facial scrub with little beads inside to remove dirt deep in pores and help exfoliate skin
3. use a toner - really good for blemishes and helps even out skin tone
4. in your case you a anti ageing moistuirser suitable for your skin.
These are very important steps and some weeks use a pore refining nose strip for those unsightly black heads .
Good luck

I have red combination skin and i have blemishes. What could i use to clear it up and reduce redness?
Im using the clinque 3-step system right now but its not really clearing up my skin. What is really good for clearing up my skin?I have red combination skin and i have blemishes. What could i use to clear it up and reduce redness?
i have heard that a cold compress of half water and half milk can really reduce reddness.. you just mix water and milk in a bowl and then dip a wash cloth in it.. you can then bathe the red spots with it... i hope this help!!I have red combination skin and i have blemishes. What could i use to clear it up and reduce redness?
i heard that visine works to reduce redness. i figure it'd work..it supposed to take redness out of your eyes, right? but, you may also be irritating your skin. dont wash it more than 3 times a day and DO NOT pick at your pimples.
