What is the best way to cover blemishes on the face?

I mean old acne scars, and spots etc. I also have a dry skin, and any moisturizer simply disappears and leaves the skin looking dry and dull. Then trying to apply powder and concealer makes it look even worse (kind of flaky). What to do? Any help would be appreciated. What is the best way to cover blemishes on the face?
To start with covering up you need to look at your skin care regimen. If they are scars from acne you might want to try some think with vitamin E in it. The Body shop has some great products that you can try. They have there New Moisture white set. This is totally awesome, a lot of older people use it for age spots, but i am only 18, i have a couple of scars on my face and i use it, it lightens them and if you keep using it, it can make them eventually disappear. Now about the dryness. Your skin will soak up the most moisture during 2 times, after you wash your face, and at night. Use a heavier cream at night i would recommend using one from the body shop, they just don't sit there they actually work with the skin. try a night cream from either the Moisture white collection or the vitamin E collection. when using foundations use liquid not cream and not powder. those will all look cakey and flaky. as a concealer try to find a more liquid green for red spots or a liquid concealer that matches closely to your skin tone. oh and make sure you are drinking enough water, this could help with some dryness. What is the best way to cover blemishes on the face?
Sounds kind of rough...maybe you should see a dermatologist. Whatever you do, do NOT put oil on your face like some have suggested.

Proactiv is great for clearing up blemishes. Find a good quality concealer...are you using powder foundation or liquid? Especially if you have dry skin, you may need more coverage than what you're currently using. For one, to smooth out your complexion, and for two, to lock in moisture without over-moisturizing the skin and leaving you shiny. Try MAC or Mary Kay.
If you wear makeup apply the make-up with a sponge as you normally would then if u can still see the blemishes take the sponge and press it firmly on the blemish and it should blend in better with your make-up.
Try the Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil line of cosmetics. Great moisturizing cover ups. Also there is a green cover up used to counteract the redness of a blemish. Dab that on first and then dab your skin colored concealer.
Green concealer...
toothpaste
acne spots are really hard to cover... this is expensive but if you are still young ask for a makeup airbrush kit for ur birthday. that should help.. the cheepest is like $169.... other than that use neutrogena makeup.. thats what i use.... dont get medicine like pro-activ because it works like ****.
velocity!
try some oil
proactive is awesome. it really works for alot of people and for every type of skin. Also, st.ives apricot scrub, and velocity.
I have the same problem.
